It is characterized by a questioning approach to life and a critical examination of ethical and moral issues. Philosophers use reason and logic to analyze arguments and to uncover truth. They often ask questions such as: What is the meaning of life? WebbSimilar relations of super and sub-ordinacy also exist within philosophy and within particular branches of philosophy. The first thing to clarify is that the sub-ordinacy of philosophy to mathematics, or metaphysics to phenomenology, is not sub-ordinacy in the sense of embeddedness, i.e., philosophy is not a sub-branch of mathematics.
