WebWith the 10 year bourbon being stupidly hard to find and the older stuff living on the Mount Olympus of Unicorn Land, Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon is the only option for most people. This is the most affordable and somewhat accessible bourbon that Michter’s makes. Whether that’s good or bad, I don’t know yet, but that’s the point of this review.

WebJan 16, 2024 · My first thought when poured this in the Michter’s Rye 10 Years blind was “This tastes like a better, oakier, version of the Woodford Reserve Rye” and since Michter’s sources everything it’s completely possible they got it from Brown-Forman. It has that same soft profile but it’s bolstered by a bit more oak and a more mature overall sense of depth.
